My second in Austin, Texas was a very long day. It look my eyes opened for 18 hours totally. But I wish I could open my eyes for Austin for 24 hours.
I woke up a little bit late, 10 AM. Perhaps it's not really late for some people. But for me, in a very special city, it was pretty late.
Kelly wanted me to be fresh to introduce myself to the heat of Austin at daytime. So we went swimming in the pool at her apartment.
One of the things that I'm proud to get from the U.S. is the darker skin tone. I spent so much time sun bedding on the beach in Sounth Carolina.
To be honest, I admit I am a weird Asian. Most of Asian people want to be as white as possible. They try to keep their skin tone light. But I have different eyes on that.
I came to America, and I lived at a plae which had very nice beaches. What is the best thing to keep this memory from the beach beside my diary and my camera? Of course, my skin.
This ugly skin, for most of Asian people, is the best memory from South Carolina I could ever keep.
(Oh, and I quite kept some fat in my body, too.)
I was fresh. And I was very happily to hit the town.
I, in my thought, no one can describe themselves, like art. So I wanted to go to musuems in Austin. Kelly took me to a museum in UT. It's called, Harry Ransom Center. Nothing was very interesting, except a copy of bible. A very special one.
And then Kelly and I had a tour around the campus again. The sun differed the atmostphere of the tour in my second day from the night before by the heat and the sunbeam.
Texas was HOT!
What can you describe the word 'hot'?
For me, there are two ways to describe it, hot as the heat of the weather, and hot as sexy.
I prefer the last one.
Yes, Texas is sexy. Very sexy.
Well, so sexy that she seduced me to fly from Thailand to make love with her.
We went around the campus again by foot. I kissed Austin by my feet with love. I left my kiss-marks everywhere on her body, on the ceiling of the building, on the street, in the bus, everywhere.
And somewhere I left a strawberry scent from ice cream, too.
The street around the outside of UT was very very interesting.
There were a lot of shops, bookstores, souvenir shops, clothes shops, restaurants, suppy shops, and many other interesting places.
When I was taking a look in a bookstore, I saw some books, and I really really missed my amazing boy. (My cat.)
All the books were very interesting.
The decoration of the bookstore.
The graphic design, photos, texts, and a lot more details were amazing.
But they were very expensive too. (Compare to the Thai price.)
So I didn't buy any of them. :(
We went to a few more shops on that street and went back home to the apartment to take a nap.
Austin soaked a lot of power out of my soul.
So I took a lovely afternoon nap before I surprised Kelly by giving her a coupon for two for dinner at a sushi place after I woke up.
Ain't I a lovely guest?
And we went there with Janet, Kelly's roommate.
She is an Asian, but she was born and raised in the U.S.
That was the first time for me to get to have Uni sushi. (The yellow one on the right in the second picture.)
It's made with sea urchin's egg. Tastes very creamy.
And I felt like I was in heaven.
Heaven in heaven again.
It was quite weird that an Asian, not being recism, like me came to America and ate Asian food.
But I just wanted to try how Asian food taste like in the U.S.
Is that reasonable enough? (I don't think so.)
But totally the whole dinner was very good.
We had so much fun there ordering the food again and again.
Kelly ordered her spicy tuna sushi one more time.
And I order my Uni sushi two more time.
And Janet had so much fun with her noodle.
Woah, Austin treated us pretty good!
That was our dinner.
But I'm quite amazed that it was not the end of my second day in Austin.
Beside art, I love jazz and bossanova a lot.
So Kelly and I planed to go to a jazz clun in downtown Austin.
Kelly invited her friend, Magdalena, to go with us too.
We walked from Kelly's aparment to Mag's late in the evening.
Sometimes I like riding when the weather is lovely.
And in that lovely evening in Austin, we took a lovely walk.
The sun was saying goodbye to us.
The wind was blowing some flowers beside the street we walk on.
What a pretty city of beauty.
(And I had some ice cream again.)
We invited another friend of Kelly, Jennifer, to come with us, too.
We met her at a building in UT.
She is one of the most loveliest lady I have ever known.
So that night, we went to that jazz club.
It's called The Elephant Room.
They have bands playing live every night.
It was a good place if you really like jazz.
We had some drink, enjoyed jazz music, and enjoyed the band.
But too bad, it got more crowded and people got more drunk.
So we decided to leave.
We continued hitting the town at night.
Mag recommended us to go to a nice cafe called Halcyon. (ฮัลคิยอน)
Yeah, they have all these stuffs under the roof!
I had coffee to keep my eyes opened to enjoy Austin.
Halcyon was a very great place to stay.
Cozy atmostphere, soft and comfortable sofa, great music, and good drink.
(Didn't try the food.)
We kept hitting the night walking down the streets.
We went almost everywhere there.
And hmm, we were drunk.
And finally we decided to end up that night having supper at a very great place.
That place was full of teenage people. So the place looked quite powerful with the artistic decoration with bright colors.
I had something very spicy, but not so delicious.
It was a very long day and night.
But every second I breathed was valuable.
Austin is a very beautiful lady. She's hot, sexy, nice, sweet, elegant, and precious at the same time.
Before I went to bed, my heart told me that he wanted to marry Austin.
